Recycle bin setup help

I have a global recycle bin setup as per an old walkthrough that is now no longer available. It is working well, but all the users see a recycle bin folder in their home directories. How can I still have the recycle bin function but not have it show up in a user's home directory? They can not browse in the folder, but it is still listed.
